Learning outcomes of the assessment practice: 1. Fieldwork Placement:-
This is professional training through experiential learning – actual service to clients in social work settings. Individual students are assigned duties in line with their interest and what can be practically arranged in the servicing agency.

2. Assessment Criteria:- Students are assessed on their ability to fulfill/ demonstrate the following:
a)Professional requirements (work attitude, learning attitude and professional development)
b)Organizational requirements (understand agency & service, role performance & accountability)
c)Practice competence (theoretical application, communication & relationship skills, intervention, evaluation, and writing skills)

3. Characteristics of Assessment Process:-
a)Both formative and summative evaluation with ongoing evidence-based comments
b)Consistency and fairness ensured through internal examination system

4. Triangulated and Multiple Assessment Methods:-
a)Assessment by supervisor (review on students’ written assignments and practice observation)
b)Assessment by agency (on-site practice observation, staff/ client feedback, reports)
c)Student self-assessment (self- reflective logs, mid-term and final self-review reports)

5. Strengths and Challenges:-
a)This is a well established assessment system with multiple sources of information & clear review system.
b)There are individual complaints about the assessment items not fully representing their work, and consistency issues in grading with multiple supervisors and fieldwork in a wide variety of settings. The assessment also relies heavily on the supervisor.

6. Future Plan:-
Both the assessment form and the system would be reviewed. It is hoped that students will be involved to take a more active responsibility in self-assessment Related IT and administrative support will be looked into to improve the efficiency of the assessment process.
